Good Grief, It’s Mother’s Day! by Charles M. Schulz

Standard
This book was about Charlie Brown and his friends trying to find what they are going to get for their mothers on Mother’s Day. Everyone wants to do something different. Lucy  bought a card and her brother Linus made a card himself. Snoopy wrote a letter to his mom and his friend Woodstock wanted to give a flower to his mom. There was a baseball game on Mother’s Day, but the teams cancelled it to spend time with their mothers on this special day. Everyone did something different and special for their moms to show that they love them.

We all know Charles M. Shulz’s comic strips with the Peanuts characters. This book and others like it (It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!) use the stories from the comics in book form. They cover all subjects and holidays. This book and others like it would be great to read with children by the fireplace as the weather gets colder.
